Types of Gift Cards

The extension enables you to create two types of gift cards: virtual and physical.

Virtual gift cards are delivered to recipients via email and can be scheduled for automatic delivery on a specific date using the Delivery Date attribute. Recipients automatically receive reminder emails a few days before their gift cards expire, ensuring they don't miss the opportunity to use them.

Physical gift cards follow your standard shipping process and can be sent directly to recipients with personalized messages.

New Product Type: Gift Card

The extension introduces a dedicated Gift Card product type to your store. When customers purchase this product, a gift card is automatically generated with a unique code. Special product attributes allow you to configure the gift card type and expiration period.

Customers can choose from administrator-defined amounts or enter a custom value within a specified range, giving them flexibility while maintaining your control. Virtual gift cards include a convenient Delivery Date option, perfect for customers who want to schedule gifts in advance for birthdays, holidays, or special occasions.

Applying Gift Cards

Customers can easily redeem gift cards on both the shopping cart page and during checkout, providing maximum flexibility and convenience. The gift card balance is automatically applied to the order total, and any remaining balance is saved for future purchases.
